Port Elizabeth

Port Elizabeth, also known as the 'Windy City' or better known as the 'Friendly City', because of its friendly people, vibrant city centre, amazing shopping, interesting flea markets and great restaurants. It is the second oldest city and fifth largest city in South Africa and quite an undiscovered gem. It is situated in the South Eastern Coast of South Africa and still has a much undeveloped coastline and stretches for 16 km along Algoa Bay. Port Elizabeth is also one of the major seaports in South Africa. It has always been a popular family destination for South Africans, as there are activities for both young and old and a good start or ending to your Garden Route holiday. If you're a resident embarking on a voyage of re-discovery, Port Elizabeth's diversity, beauty and culture, will enthral and enchant you time and again. If flying into Port Elizabeth to start your Garden Route tour and it is early in the day, we would suggest that you get onto the road immediately as there is so much to do and see, but if you arriving into Port Elizabeth late in the afternoon/evening, then it is better to overnight and start the next morning fresh and early.
