Thank you so much for your welcoming note and your support for making this awesome trip possible for us. Currently I only have access to facebook on my phone, which makes typing really painful. So I hope you don’t mind me providing the feedback in this email.

Our holidays certainly were a memorable experience. All worked out very well and smoothly.

Flights – Qatar Airways is a bliss – nice planes, great food and lovely service. On our way there, our Johannesburg to Doha flight had quite some delay, which resulted in us having to run through the Doha airport, to slip through the boarding gate just in time into the bus to the next flight.

Connections between Airlink and Qatar were very smooth (it was interesting though, that the check in in Windhoek allowed us to check our luggage all the way through to Male, while on our way back, the check in in Male only allowed the luggage to be checked to Johannesburg, where we then had to collect it and check in for the next flight. That however was no problem and sufficient time and Airlink accepting luggage way before check in time).

Passport controls were easy and thanks for the support with doing the online health check and visa application upfront.

Our stay at Cocoon was picture perfect. The island with the white beaches and blue water, hammock, swings and vegetation is as in any travel catalogue. The beach villa was first class. After 4 days we were offered to move to one of the lagoon villas, which we accepted. While it was a great experience and we were all happy that we did try it out, the beach villa with its own beach on the doorstep and open air bathroom, remained our favourite.

Each and every individual was very friendly and so pleasant to deal with. This ranges from the island host to the restaurant staff, room service, yoga instructor and beach cleaners.

We loved the guided snorkeling tours and scuba diving.

The food was amazing and the daily themed dinners were a lot of fun.

I could go on and on – but to summarise – it was superb – thank you.
