RWANDA & UGANDA PACKAGE – Safari without Borders: 4 Days of Gorillas in Rwanda & Uganda

Day 1: June 2025. Arrival and Kigali City Tour

Upon arrival at Kigali Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, we'll embark on a city tour of Kigali, exploring genocide memorial sites, vibrant art galleries, bustling markets, and the inspiring Nyamirambo Women's Centre. Relax and unwind at the Retreat for Superior or Heaven Boutique –King room.

Day 2: Kigali to Bwindi Forest National Park

This morning, after breakfast, we'll embark on a scenic drive to Uganda via the Cyanika border post (approx. 5 hours). After clearing customs and immigration, we'll continue to Lake Mutanda, where we'll check in at the lodge,

Enjoy lunch at the lodge, followed by a unique canoe ride on Lake Mutanda. This dugout canoe experience offers a tranquil and picturesque way to explore the lake's beauty.

Overnight at Clouds Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (high end) or Chameleon Hill Lodge (midrange)

Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is beautifully located with stunning views of the Virunga range. The upmarket lodge comprises of 8 stone bedrooms. Each room has its own twin basin en suite bathroom, with hot and cold water, as well as electric lights, plug points and a cozy fireplace. The main building with reception, dining, shop and bar area also has six fireplaces to keep it a cozy area throughout the day. Views from the main balcony area stretch across to Rwanda and the Virungas as well as all the way across the border towards Goma in Congo. This Lodge is ideal for travelers interested in Gorilla tracking but in addition offers a refreshing atmosphere leaving guests almost reborn from all the pampering, the great views, the fresh air, and the amazing food. Day 3: Ultimate Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest National Park

Rise early and get ready for the ultimate adventure: a face-to-face encounter with Bwindi's majestic gorillas! After a briefing at the park offices, you'll be divided into small groups of eight and assigned a gorilla family to track, accompanied by an expert park guide.

As you venture into the jungle, remember to bring essential items like your passport, waterproof hiking boots, light rain gear, and appropriate clothing to protect yourself from the elements and stinging nettles. Don't forget gloves, a walking stick, and a waterproof backpack to carry snacks, water, and camera gear.

Once you locate the gorillas, spend an unforgettable hour observing these incredible creatures up close, witnessing their daily behaviors like feeding, playing, and caring for their young. Take a break to enjoy a picnic lunch in the forest, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the jungle.

After this exhilarating experience, return to your lodge for a well-deserved massage to soothe your muscles and relive the excitement of your encounter with the gorillas.

Afternoon: Optional Canoe ride on Lake Mutanda to explore nearby islands and villages

Day 4: Drive back to Kigali – Depart

Breakfast at leisure and transfer to Kigali with lunch enroute, visit the genocide memorial museum if not done on day 1, continue to the airport for your departure flight home.
