Day 01 : Arrive Delhi

India’s capital city, Delhi, is a unique and fascinating blend of two very different cities, each with its own distinctive flavour and character. No visit to India is complete without visiting these two complementary halves. Old Delhi, the former walled city, is home to some of the city’s most iconic monuments, the Red Fort and the Jama Masjid. The streets of Old Delhi are crowded, bursting at the seams with people, tiny shops, rickshaws, and ever more people. The city’s bazaars are a treasure-trove of everything you could possibly want – and lots you didn’t know you wanted. New Delhi, the seat of government and diplomacy, and the showcase of modern-day India, moves to a different rhythm. Wide, tree-lined avenues, laid out as part of the Lutyen’s master plan in the early 20th century give New Delhi a sense of space. Yet scattered throughout this astonishingly green city are superb ancient monuments, such as The Lodhi Gardens and Humayaun’s Tomb.

Jaipur (City of Victory) was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727.
